Always go around with a valid ID card- Lagos state Police command advises Ikorodu residents

The Lagos state police command has released a statement advising residents of Ikorodu community to always have a valid ID card with them when going about their lawful businesses. According to the statement released by the force Public Relations Officer, A SP Olarinde Famous-Cole,  this has become necessary following  the series of operations lined up in the area by the state police command led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations.

Family of former Channels TV state house correspondent, Chukwuma Onuekwusi, release his obituary

The family of former Channels TV state house correspondent, Chukwuma Onuekwusi, have released his obituary. Chukwuma died in an Abuja hospital on May 23rd after a brief illness. According to the obituary, his remains will be buried on July 14th at his hometown in Akabo Ikeduru in Imo state. He was 55 years old. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Badoo strikes again, kills three in Ikorodu

Three persons were killed in a fresh attack by members of notorious cult group, Badoo. According to reports, the fresh attack took place inside the Crystal Church of Christ (C&S) Aladura at no 4, Victor Anibaba Street, Owode Weigh Bridge, along Ikorodu road last night. The cult members reportedly attacked the wife of the founder of the church, Mrs. Ajidara, her two-year old daughter and another woman who lived in the church with her daughter. One woman and the two girls were killed during the attack. More details later.

A Father-of-three, Okechukwu Brown was on Monday sentenced to three years imprisonment for defrauding an American man, Mr Thomas Nublin, out of 3,650 dollars in an online romance scam. According to reports, Brown committed the offence between August and November 2013 at Ikeja.
