NFF planned for Oliseh to fail and offered Herve Renard $100,000 a month salary to take over - Babangida Former personal assistant to Sunday Oliseh, Tijani Babangida revealed today that Sunday Oliseh decided to resign after he found out the NFF had already contacted former Ivory Coast coach Havre Renard to replace him. According to Babangida, Sunday Oliseh was incensed that NFF offered to pay Havre Renard $100,000 a month as salary while he was being owed four months salary of N5m. “We saw this coming. Nothing is hidden. Oliseh was reliably informed that NFF went to talk to Herve Renard to take over the job as Super Eagles coach. This is one of the things that violated the contract he signed when he became coach,” Babangida said. “He believes his employers are not supporting him to succeed; rather, they are planning for him to fail. Supreme court upholds Rev. Kings death sentence The Supreme Court has upheld the death sentence handed down the Senior Pastor of the Christian Praying Assembly, Lagos, Rev. Chukwuemeka Ezeugo aka Reverend King by the Lagos state Court of Appeal. Reverend King had approached the apex court after the Lagos state Court of Appeal on January 11th 2007 upheld the ruling of the state High court sentencing him to death by hanging for the murder of one of his church members, Ann Uzoh on August 2nd 2006. King had set seven members of his church on fire for indulging in fornication. Ann sustained serious injuries and died in the process.

Dasuki accuses Pres. Buhari of being behind his detention Embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, has accused President Buhari of being behind his continued detention despite two federal high courts granting him bail in December last year. According to  Premium Times , Dasuki made the allegation through his counsel, Joseph Daudu, at the resumed hearing of his trial today February 26th. Dasuki said while responding to a question during his media chat last year, pres. Buhari said that himself and Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB, were still in detention because they could jump bail if they are released. Dasuki argued that this is a contempt of court order as two courts had already granted him bail. Dasuki tendered several newspaper publications where Buhari was quoted as saying he should not be allowed to go home even if granted bail by any court because he might jump bail. Gianni Infantino emerges as new FIFA President Gianni Infantino has won the FIFA Presidential elections after getting majority of votes from all 207 FIFA member associations. He will be the FIFA President for the period of 2016 to 2019. He defeated Sheikh Salman, Priince Ali al-Hussein and Jerome Champagne. The ExtraOrdinary FIFA congress and election which took place in Switzerland this afternoon went through the first round of voting, as a winner could only be determined if he won over 2/3 of the votes. At the end of the first round, Prince Ali had 27 votes, Champagne 7 votes, Sheikh Salman 85 votes while Infantino had the highest with 88 votes. For a candidate to win, 138 votes were needed for a two-thirds majority. According to Surayyah Sabonkudi who shared the photo and details: "I came across this patient in a ward at ATBUTH Bauchi.Who is in need of radio therapy due to breast cancer. She is nineteen years old, a mother of two a villager and an orphan who cannot afford three square meals. Shes saadatu muhammed from giade female surgical ward four."
