On December 30th,  Super Eagles  player,  Kenneth Omeruo  got married to his fiancee,  Chioma Nnamani,  in Enugu state. Kenneth, who is a  Chelsea  defender but currently on loan at Turkish club  Kasimpasa , proposed to Chioma back in September.

President Buhari's only son, Yusuf, Buhari, is reportedly yet to regain his speech as doctors treating him at the Cedarcrest hospital in Abuja have discovered new injuries on his body. Yusuf and his friend, Bashir Gwandu, were involved in a ghastly accident on December 26th while riding their power bikes in Gwarimpa, Abuja at about 8pm.

Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, has apologised to members of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF after President Buhari erroneously appointed members to the board's elective positions. Two days ago, President Buhari released a list of new board member appointments. The list has been under attack for also having dead Nigerians in it. Former Miss Edidiong Edet, who has been confined to the wheelchair all her life and Mr Utip were joined in Holy matrimony on Saturday, December 30th, at The Apostolic Church, Udo Edouk Street, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital. Wealthy Kenyan singer has showered praise on the French father of her children for not reneging on his responsibilities like some other men. Taking to her social media page today,  the mother of five wrote:

Former first lady Maryam Abacha, senate president Bukola Saraki and his wife Toyin, Sokoto state governor Aminu Tambuwal, Bauchi state governor Mohammed Abubakar,  NNPC boss, Maikanti Baru, former media aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan and others were part of the guest at the birthday day party of the speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, who turned 50 yesterday December 26th.
