Days after she was declared 'missing' deputy Governor's daughter found in her boyfriend's house
Kathleen Nduku, the daughter of Machokos Deputy Governor, Benard Kiala has been found
days after she allegedly went 'missing'.
Nduku
was traced to her boyfriend’s house in Kasarani’s Mwiki estate, in
Nairobi, Kenya. Her disappearance had stirred a political storm with her
father's party spokesman, Kalonzo Musyoka alleging she had been
kidnapped in a bid to force Kiala
to drop his governorship aspiration.
Her disappearance came to light at a political rally during Kalonzo’s
tour of Ukambani region with the Musyoka alleging that Nduku’s
kidnappers were demanding that her father drops his plan to take on
Governor.
However,
after
days of investigations, officers from the Special Crimes Division found
her in Mwiki. According to Nairobi County Commander, Japheth Koome,
Nduku was
traced to her boyfriend’s house, the two were picked and taken to the
Nairobi Police Headquarters for interrogation where police established
nothing sinister as Nduku confessed that she was at her boyfriend’s
house on her own volition.
