Residents of Awka, Anambra State rescue teenage househelp from alleged sexual abuse by her employer

A house-help was yesterday rescued by residents of Kwata area of Amikwo-Awka from alleged sexual abuse by her master, identified as one Mr. Collins.
According to an eyewitness, Mrs Vivian Mmaduka, the teenage girl said Mr Collins employed her to take care of his two young daughters from different women. She did her job dutifully until Monday night, July 18, when he tried to force himself on her.
She said her refusal to allow her master have his way with her, made the man to beat and lock her up in the house before leaving for work. The girl said to have lived in the flat for about three weeks, was able to break down the lock of one of the doors and came out to the veranda from where she cried out for help.
On hearing her cry for help, some residents of the compound came out and threw her a rope which she used to jump down from the first floor and made a clean escape before her master returned.
The culprit is alleged to be notorious with women and his relationship with them usually end up in a fight.
